In an "oh so familiar format" I see that the scammers are now out in force trying to dupe those who think they may be able to slash their power bills by spending a few bucks on a valuable set of information downloadble (for a fee) from the internet.
If it's so valuable, how come its price as been slashed by 50%
And why does (just as with those HHO scams), the special discount is a "limited time offer" that goes on forever?
Surely they're not telling lies -- are they?
And who honestly believes you can actually pluck energy from thin air by harnessing zero-point energy in a way that no physicist has ever been able to?
Or, that a $200 collection of low-output solar cells nailed to a wooden frame will really generate enough energy to power your fridge?
More (or perhaps even the same old) scammers using tired but tested methods to fleece dupes.
Tell your friends! |

I'm just waiting for the flood of alternative energy scammers to descend and claim that *their* scam is legit, it's only the other ones that are rip-offs.
Or... the dim-bulbs who will have claimed to built zero-point energy devices that work (well "almost work", they've just got to improve the efficiency by 10% and they'll have true zero-point energy ) |

You mean a ZPM (Zero Point Module) like in Stargate:Atlantis? Ya, one of those would come in handy.

Yeah, but even their ones didn't work properly (hence the ongoing quest to find another).
No, it'll take a while before they get all the bugs out of ZPE but, I'm sure that with all the money the scammers will be raking in from their infopacks, they'll have that sorted in no-time. |

I remember a 'Fair Go' program awhile back about a woman who was venting because she answered and advert that stated it would send her information on how to make a 'possible' $60K a month.
She paid her $29.95 for it and received a piece of paper stating "Put an ad in a national magazine stating people can make possibly $60K a month ordering this information for $29.95" (The piece of paper she received)
Then she got all kinds of pissed off when Fair Go determined she was not a victim of fraud (stupidity maybe) according to the law. She requested information, and paid the price for it willingly. She was then sent the information she requested. None of this was against the law. (The key word being "possibly" make money)
About the same as the lottery, each week people spend millions (collectively) on 'possibly' winning a million dollars.
